RECIPE: Apple Porridge

There is nothing like a steamy bowl of porridge to warm you up on a cool Winters morning.

This is my go-to porridge recipe. Its delicious, filling and oh so creamy!


Serves: 1



1/3 cup rolled oats

1/2 tbsp. chia seeds

1 cup milk

1/2 medium apple, chopped



Place rolled oats, chia seeds and half of the milk into a small pot.

Heat on medium for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.

Stir through apple and remaining milk. Continue cook for 3-5 minutes, until porridge is creamy and apples are tender.

Pour porridge into a bowl and enjoy immediately.



Top with your favourite nuts and seeds for some extra crunch.

Add cinnamon for an extra hint of flavour.

Substitute apple for pear - it works just as well.
