I am Emily, an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist from Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
First things first - I love food. Talking about food. Cooking food. Eating food. I could go on about food and all its glory forever, but I will start with a few of my favourite things. Food has a wonderful ability to bring people together - coffee with a friend, celebrating over a meal or even borrowing that missing dinner ingredient from your neighbour. Food has the capability to nourish our bodies from inside to out, making us feel amazing. Oh and of course, food tastes delicious! I truly believe in the power of food and the ability it has to make a difference to people in so many ways.
My philosophy to nutrition is that food is there to be enjoyed. I believe that the food we choose to eat should be nourishing, wholesome, balanced and of course enjoyable. Eating well should not be restrictive, depriving or obsessive. Eating well is about choosing foods that make your body and mind feel good. There is no one size fits all approach to eating, we are all individual and it is about finding what works for you. I provide clients with the knowledge and skills required to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle, and empower them to build a healthy relationship with food.
Being healthy is more than just about the foods we eat. I am passionate about understanding clients from all aspects of their life to support them in making positive food and lifestyle changes. In my role as a dietitian, I have worked with adults, children and families in all areas of health and nutrition.
